ALEXANDRIA’S FAMILY FALL FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, OCT. 14
Festival Features Washington Redskins Cheerleaders,

Beale Street Puppet Theater, And Good Deale Shop Band



The City of Alexandria’s Family Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Armistead L. Boothe Park, 520 Cameron Station Boulevard. Admission is free and the festival will be held rain or shine.


The festival will feature entertainment from the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, Smokey the Bear, the Beale Street Puppet Theater, and music by the Good Deale Shop Band. Activities include scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, pony rides, a moon bounce, Bouncy Boxing, hay rides, and a karate demonstration from the United Studios of Self-Defense.


Exhibitors from the Alexandria Fire Department and the Police Department’s Bicycle Safety Team will be on hand.


Armistead L. Boothe Park is located on the western end of Cameron Station adjacent to the Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School. The park’s entrance is near the intersection of Edsall Road and Pickett Street. The park is accessible to public transportation by taking the DASH Bus 7 or the Metrobus 21F.
