Manassas Man Arrested for Murder,
Charged with Killing his Infant Son in Alexandria Earlier This Year

Last night, Alexandria police arrested Juan Carlos Ocon-Parada, 29, and charged him with Murder for the death of his infant son in January.

The victim, eight-month-old Christian Ocon-Rosario, was critically injured on January 13 at his home in the 6100 block of Edsall Road in Alexandria. Medics transported him to Inova Alexandria Hospital and he was transferred to Inova Fairfax Hospital that evening. Christian died on January 15 of blunt force trauma to the head.

Detectives investigated his death and on August 22, the case was classified as a homicide. Earlier this week an Alexandria grand jury indicted Christian’s father for First Degree Murder. Ocon-Parada was arrested Wednesday evening at his residence, 7727 Appomattox Avenue in Manassas. He is being held at the Alexandria jail.
