U.S. Postal Service Invites Community To Attend Public Hearing on Its Need
To Relocate Old Town’s George Mason Station Post Office (126 S. Washington St.)

The U.S. Postal Service has invited the community to attend a public meeting on the relocation of the George Mason Station Post Office, 126 S. Washington St., in Old Town Alexandria. The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 24, at the Atrium, 277 S. Washington St. During the meeting, representatives from the U.S. Postal Service will discuss its need to relocate the George Mason Station Post Office. The U.S. Postal Service’s lease is expiring and cannot be renewed at the George Mason Station’s current location.

“The George Mason Post Office is important to the Old Town community,” Alexandria Mayor William D. Euille said. “Our City staff will work to help identify possible appropriate new locations for the U.S. Postal Service to consider.”

For more information on the public meeting, call Tom Fairchild, the City’s Business Facilitator, at 703.838.4227.
