Community Meetings Scheduled to Help Shape Alexandria’s “Vision for the Arts” The public is invited to attend one of four community meetings to share its ideas on making Alexandria a more exciting, dynamic, and creative community that embraces and celebrates the arts and culture. The Alexandria Commission for the Arts, in partnership with the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, is working with the Lord Cultural Resources Planning and Management Inc. to garner insights and to assist with setting a course of direction for the City’s “Vision for the Arts.” The approach for the Lord Cultural Resources Planning and Management Inc. to planning incorporates an assessment of local resources; and an understanding of the various markets, visitors, and users of the arts and culture in a community. It focuses on the sustainability and creativity of programs.
