Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at Provident Bank


The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating an robbery that occurred today at the Provident Bank at 3801 Jefferson Davis Highway in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 2:47 p.m., a suspect entered the bank and approached the bank teller. The suspect demanded money and the victim complied. No weapon was displayed. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, early 20s, black curly hair, 5'5", 140 pounds and was wearing a black t-shirt and dark jeans.
