City of Alexandria Sponsors 12th Annual Homeownership Fair

The City of Alexandria will sponsor its 12th Annual Homeownership Fair on Saturday, April 8, from 9:30 am to 1 pm at the George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mount Vernon Ave. The event will assist potential homeowners in overcoming the challenge of finding an affordable home in the competitive real estate market. Admission is free.

During the fair, local real estate professionals, lenders, and housing counselors will be available to assist potential homeowners in finding the right home, shopping for an affordable home loan, and addressing potential pitfalls in the home purchasing process.

Seminars will be held in English and Spanish and cover a wide range of topics that include the home buying process, mortgage financing, and condominium ownership. The event will offer free housing counseling services and information on new loans that require little or no down payment and City homeownership assistance programs.
