City of Alexandria Invites Public to Attend Public Hearing
On Proposed Adoption of Code Enforcement Fee Increases

The City of Alexandria invites the public to attend a public hearing to review and comment on the proposed Code Enforcement fee increases for construction permits. The public hearing will take place during the City Council meeting at 9:30 am on Saturday, Feb. 25, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 301 King Street.

The fee increase is being proposed to off set additional personnel expenditures for increased staffing necessary to handle the anticipated increase in development within the City. 100% of the proposed fee will go towards covering the City costs related to the development and construction process to ensure that the process is responsive and timely. Additional staffing funded through this proposal will maintain current time lines for service delivery of permit inspections in spite of the increase in the number of construction projects throughout the City.

For more information, call Art Dahlberg, Director of the City’s Code Enforcement Bureau, at 703.838.4360.
