City of Alexandria Invites Public to Attend Community Meeting
On New Charles Houston Recreation Center

The City of Alexandria is inviting the public to attend a community meeting to review the conceptual design plans for the new Charles Houston Recreation Center. The meeting will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St.

The proposed concept for the new facility allows for the expansion of existing programs, the addition of new programs, and the construction of a new outdoor swimming facility.

The City’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will hold additional meetings in the future to obtain further community input. For more information, call Peter Geiling, Deputy Director of the City’s Department of General Services, at 703.838.4770.
