Alexandria Man Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting
Alexandria police have arrested an Alexandria man for the homicide of a Washington, D.C., man. Sebastian T. Carter, 22, was charged with Murder on December 31 for fatally shooting Lawrence C. Sims, 22, last week in the 800 block of Montgomery Street.
On December 27, about 10:10 p.m., police responded to calls for shots fired and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Carter, a resident of 502 West Glebe Road, Apt. 302, in Alexandria, is being held at the Alexandria jail.
The case remains under investigation and detectives continue to seek additional witnesses.
