City of Alexandria's Chinquapin Park Recreation Center
Celebrates 20th Anniversary


The City of Alexandria’s Chinquapin Park Recreation Center will celebrate is 20th anniversary from 1 - 5 pm on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the recreation center, 3210 King St. Everyone is invited to attend the celebration and use the facility for free. Activities planned for the event include:

• Swimming in the Dr. Robert S. Rixse Memorial Pool

C Lifeguard demonstration of skills and training techniques
C Class instructors providing information on the best fitness program
C Fun activities for children
C Racquetball or walleyball
C Use of equipment in the fitness room

Additional activities include door prize drawings for a monthly pass for admission to the Chinquapin Center. Attendees will also learn about plans to expand and renovate the center. For additional information, call the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center at 703.519.2160.

Children who are 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult, and children 13 years of age and older must have a school identification card. No one under the age of 16 years is permitted in the fitness room or sauna.
