Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery

The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a robbery that occurred today at the United Bank at 301 South Washington Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At 1:05 p.m., a suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The victim teller complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 7-inches tall, around 175 pounds and wearing an orange jacket and an orange baseball cap.
