Alexandria Commission for the Arts Seeks Volunteers
To Serve on Resource Panel and Committees

The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is seeking volunteers with expertise in dance, literature, music, theatre, and visual arts to serve as resource panel members. Resource panel members assist the Commission by reviewing grant applications for grantees requesting funding for various arts programs.

In addition, the Commission is seeking volunteers to serve on the Alex Awards, Arts Education, Marketing, and Business and the Arts committees. Volunteers who serve on the committees assist the Commission with advancing it’s goals, objectives, and strategies. Individuals who have experience in arts education or business, or who are civic leaders, arts patrons, and artists are encouraged to apply.

All volunteers for the Commission serve three-year terms. Individuals who are interested in serving should send a letter of interest and resume to the Alexandria Commission for the Arts, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA 22314, or apply online at www.alexandriacommissionforthearts.org.

For more information on volunteering, call the Alexandria Commission for the Arts at 703.838.6348. The Alexandria Commission for the Arts is affiliated with the City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities.
