Alexandria Police Investigate Bank Robbery

The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a robbery that occurred today at the Bank of America at 600 North Washington Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 9:20 a.m., a suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect implied a weapon and demanded money, and the victim teller complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 50, 5-feet 11 inches to 6-feet tall, and wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and a blue hard hat.
