Alexandria Police Investigate a Shooting
Victim Shot Multiple Times
Early this morning, at approximately 3:23 a.m., an adult male was shot multiple times.
Police and medic units were called to the corner of North Patrick and Madison Streets and discovered the victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. Officers and detectives secured the scene and began to conduct a canvass of the area in attempts to locate witnesses.
Investigation revealed that the victim, and at least two other men, were arguing when a series of shots were heard and the victim fell to the ground. The suspects are described as black males. A motive has not yet been determined and the case still remains under investigation.
The victim, Marquis Harris, a 25-year-old City resident, was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is in stable condition at this time.
