Alexandria and Comcast Hold City’s Second Annual Outdoor Film Festival


The City of Alexandria and Comcast will hold the City’s second annual free Outdoor Film Festival on Friday, July 29; Saturday, July 30; and Sunday, July 31. The event will take place at Ben Brenman Park, 5000 Duke St.

Films that will be shown are “Shrek 2” on Friday, “Spiderman 2” on Saturday, and “The Wizard of Oz” on Sunday.

Vendors and area restaurants will sell popcorn, homemade lemonade, and food beginning at 7 pm with a portion of the proceeds earned benefitting The Child & Family Network Centers. All movies begin at approximately 8:30 pm (when dark).

Families can bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.

Alcohol, pets, and smoking are prohibited.

Admission is free.

In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled.
