Alexandria’s Spring and Summer Concert Series Gets Underway


The City of Alexandria’s Spring & Summer Concert Series is underway. Concerts will be held from now through Aug. 19 in Market Square, the Fort Ward Park Amphitheater, Waterfront Park, and the Ben Brenman Park Amphitheater. All concerts are free and open to the public. The schedule for this year’s Spring & Summer Concert Series includes:

The Lunch Bunch Concerts
Market Square

Monday-Friday, May 2-27:
Free musical performances by Alexandria and other visiting school groups

Wednesday, July 13-Aug. 12:
Free performances by professional artists

Music at Twilight Concerts
Fort Ward Park Amphitheater
4301 West Braddock Rd.
7 or 7:30 pm

Thursday, July 14-Aug. 11:
Free musical performances by area artists ranging from concert bands to soft rock groups

Waterfront Park Concerts
Waterfront Park
1A Prince St.
7 pm
Mondays, July 11-25:
Free concerts featuring a variety of musical entertainment

Ben Brenman Park Concerts
Ben Brenman Park Amphitheater

Wednesday, July 13 & 27:
Free concerts featuring a variety of musical entertainment

Alexandria Citizens Band Concerts

Free performances by the City’s oldest performing arts organization- the Alexandria Citizens Band

Free performance by the Alexandria Harmonizer Chorus
