Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission Seeks Nominations
For 2005 Service to the Community Awards

The Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission is seeking nominations for the 2005 Service to the Community Awards. The annual awards program recognizes an outstanding citizen, group, club, organization or corporate neighbor for providing valuable service to Alexandria on the City’s recreation, park or cultural needs. Nominations for the awards must be submitted by Wednesday, June 1, and mailed to Chair, Park & Recreation Commission, Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA 22314; or faxed to 703.838.6344.

Nominees for the awards program should be volunteers who have contributed their time, talent, or resources in an exemplary fashion. Nomination forms can be obtained from a City community center, the City’s web site at alexandriava.gov, or by calling 703.838.4842.
