Planning for Braddock Road Metro Area Development
Is Topic of Alexandria Community Meeting

A community meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, about planning for development around the Braddock Road Metro Station area in Alexandria. The meeting will be held at 7 pm at Jefferson Houston School, 1501 Cameron St.

The City of Alexandria is beginning a comprehensive planning study of the area , which is an important gateway to the City. Several major developments, including a mixed used residential project called The Madison, are proposed for the area, in addition to two recently-approved residential projects known as Hopkins and Hennage. The Madison project will be discussed at the meeting with the opportunity for public comment and input.

For more information about development, call Jeff Farner, Development Division Chief, and for details about the planning study, call Kimberley Fogle, Neighborhood Planning and Community Development Division Chief, at 703.838.4666.
