City of Alexandria’s Office of Youth Services Holds Forum
To Educate Teenage Residents About Safe Driving

In an effort to educate young people and the public about safe driving, the City of Alexandria’s Office of Youth Services will hold a youth forum for local teenage residents. The forum, titled “Teens and Driving: Preventing Accidents,” will take place on Saturday, April 2, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Minnie Howard School, 3801 W. Braddock Rd.

During the event, attendees will learn about safe driving; and how inexperience, risky behavior, and other age-related factors can increase the risk of accidents among young drivers. Young people will have an opportunity to propose their own solutions for safe driving. The Alexandria Youth Council will display entries and announce the winners of the “Teens and Driving: Preventing Accidents” February poster contest.

For more information on the forum, call Ahmed Elmi of the City’s Office of Youth Services at 703.838.0995.
