Alexandria Man Charged with Homicide
Today, Alexandria detectives arrested Eric F. Jones for last week’s murder of an Alexandria man.
Jones, 25, was arrested without incident this morning in the 700 block of North Columbus Street. He is charged with First Degree Murder for the shooting death of 21-year-old Corey M. Hargrow.
On March 8, police were called to the 700 block of North Fayette Street around 10:30 p.m. They found Mr. Hargrow suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.
Jones, a resident of 506 North Payne Street in Alexandria, is being held without bond at the Alexandria jail. He is also charged with Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
