City of Alexandria Hosts Free Homeownership Fair
For Local Residents and Workers

The City of Alexandria will host the 11th Annual Homeownership Fair for local residents and workers interested in purchasing their first home or relocating to the City. The event will take place on Saturday, April 9, from 9:30 am to 1 pm at the George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mount Vernon Ave. Admission is free.

During the fair, local real estate professionals, lenders, and housing counselors will be available to assist potential homeowners in finding the right home, shopping for an affordable home loan, and addressing potential pitfalls in the home purchasing process.

Seminars will be held in English and Spanish and cover a wide range of topics that include the home buying process, mortgage financing, and condominium ownership. The event will also offer free housing counseling services and information on new loans that require little or no down payment and City homeownership assistance programs.
