Dedication Scheduled for Arlandria Parking Lot
The public is invited to join the Alexandria City Council for the ceremonial dedication of the new Arlandria public parking lot, 3600 block of Mt. Vernon Ave., on Saturday, March 12. The brief program will be held at 8:30 am, just prior to the Council’s monthly public hearing.

“The opening of this lot is a milestone in the planning and economic development of the Arlandria area,” said Mayor William D. Euille. The parking lot is located on the site of the former “Datatel” office building. The building, more than 6 stories tall, had become an eyesore after being vacant for 15 years. It was demolished in September 2002 and the land was cleared, leveled and paved for a parking lot. The parking lot is open to the public and has space for 49 cars.
