Alexandria Health Department Still Offers Flu Shots

The Alexandria Health Department continues to offer flu shots, and is encouraging City medical providers to do the same, to anyone who is concerned about contracting flu.

“It’s not too late,” said Charles Konigsberg, Jr., MD, MPH Health Director for the City of Alexandria, “We still have several more weeks that fall under the category of ‘flu season.” Anyone over the age of six months is eligible for flu shots and should call the health department or their local doctor to schedule their vaccination.

The Health Department is reaching out to residents and local medical providers in an effort to provide vaccine to as many people as possible before flu season is over.
