Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at Cardinal Bank

The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating an armed robbery that occurred today at the Cardinal Bank at 1737 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., a suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect demanded money and the victim teller complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40's, 5'7", medium build, clean shaven, and was wearing a brown leather jacket and carrying a black briefcase.
