Public Transportation Becomes Easier
And More Convenient in City

Public transportation has just become easier and more convenient in the City of Alexandria, especially for residents of the Eisenhower Valley. The City will launch a new Patent & Trademark Office (PTO) and Carlyle neighborhood DASH bus service on Sunday, Nov. 14. The new service is an expansion of the AT 6 (brown line) and the AT 7 (purple line), which will now travel from the Van Dorn Metro Station to the King Street Metro Station via Eisenhower Avenue; and the King Street Metro Station to Eisenhower Avenue via PTO/Carlyle.

The new expansion will provide 15-minute service to the King Street Metro Station and the Eisenhower Metro Station during the weekly rush hours. The expanded service will offer easy connections to Old Town, the Landmark and Bradlee shopping centers and many other places in between. All residents traveling to the King Street Metro will be picked up at a new bus stop located across the street from Carlyle Towers on Jamieson Avenue. The bus stop for the Eisenhower Metro is located in front of Carlyle Towers South.

Carlyle Towers residents who use DASH will be given a monthly pass that will be good on DASH bus lines. The pass will be issued monthly to all residents through the Carlyle Towers management office.

The Alexandria Transit Company operates seven DASH routes throughout the City with a fleet of 60 buses.

For more information on the newly expanded service, visit www.dashbus.com or call 703.370.3274.
