Alexandria Police Investigate Sexual Assault of Woman in West End


Today, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Alexandria police responded to a report of a sexual assault in 100 block of South Van Dorn Street. The victim, a 34-year-old Alexandria woman, had entered the trash room on the fourth floor of the apartment building and the suspect followed her in.

The suspect was armed with a sharp metal object and he threatened her with it. He forced her to perform a sex act on him. He then fled from the apartment building and was last seen driving away in a full-size black SUV.

The victim was examined at Inova Fairfax Hospital but did not require medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, slanted eyes and thick lips. He is approximately 21 to 23 years old, 5'7" tall, and 160 to 165 pounds. He has a tattoo of a lion’s head on his left chest. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants and black shoes.
