Registration Underway for
Walk to Fight Breast Cancer

Alexandria’s 10th Annual Walk to Fight Breast Cancer is just four days away, and there is plenty of time to register. However, the $25 adult registration fee increases to $35 on Oct. 21, so sign up now. To register, log on to to fill out an online registration form or visit the Office on Women, 421 King St., suite 400. The Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 8 am at Cameron Run Regional Park, 4001 Eisenhower Ave. Walkers can choose from a 1.5K/3.5K/5K walk or run.

Residents and local businesses are encouraged to form teams and obtain pledges for the Walk. The youth, adult, and team that raise the most money will be eligible for great prizes, such as gift certificates at local restaurants, weekend hotel packages, salon and spa gift certificates, and more! All proceeds from the Walk go to support the Alexandria Breast Cancer Walk Fund, which has provided free mammography screenings at Inova Alexandria Hospital to more than 2,200 women during the past ten years.
