Resource Guide for City Residents Available in English and Spanish

The City of Alexandria’s Department of Human Services announces the availability of the Resource Guide for Alexandria’s Children, Youth & Families in English and Spanish. The guide provides City residents with comprehensive information on a wide range of local, state, regional and community services and programs.

Listings in the guide include addresses; telephone, fax and Teletype (TTY) numbers; e-mail and web site addresses; hours of operation for agencies; and descriptions of program services. The production of the guide was funded by the City of Alexandria; the Virginia Department of Social Services’ Safe and Stable Families Grant; the Alexandria Early Childhood Commission Children’s Fund; and the Alexandria Youth Policy Commission’s Youth Fund Grant.

Copies of guide can be obtained at any of the City’s public schools, libraries or recreation centers; the Department of Human Services, 2525 Mt. Vernon Ave.; or the Office of Citizen Assistance, City Hall, 301 King St., first floor. An electronic, portable document format (pdf) version is also available at alexandriava.gov/dhs.
