Volunteers are Needed for
New Alex Award Program Committee


Volunteers are needed to serve on the Alex Award Program Committee. The Committee’s primary focus will be to assist the Commission for the Arts with implementing the re-established Alex Award Program.

The purpose of the Alex Award is to honor outstanding contributions by Alexandrians to the City’s cultural life. Award categories are innovative partnerships, education, corporate philanthropy and individual contributions.

Individuals with experience in arts education, business, or who are civic leaders, arts patrons and artists are encouraged to apply to serve on the Alex Award Committee. Committee members will serve three-year terms. Individuals who are interested in serving as a Committee member should send a letter of interest and vita to the Alex Award Program Committee, Alexandria Commission for the Arts, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
