Open House Week is Planned at Alexandria’s Adult Day Services Center

National Adult Day Services Week is Sept. 19 - 25, and to celebrate, the Alexandria Adult Day Services Center will be hosting an Open House Week from Monday, Sept. 20 through Friday, Sept. 25. The Center offers a daytime program for seniors who may be experiencing memory loss or medical problems and need supervision during the day. The staff at the Center includes a Registered Nurse who can assist with medications and monitoring during the day. Therapeutic activities are ongoing and breakfast, lunch and snacks are included in the program. Transportation is available for program participants.

The public is invited to drop by the Adult Day Services Center, located in the Lee Center at 1108 Jefferson St. No appointment is needed. The Center is open from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. For families caring for an older person, this program may provide a needed break. Adults can enjoy a safe and caring environment during the day, while family members get a much deserved respite.
