Volunteers Sought for
Alexandria Festival of the Arts

The Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is recruiting volunteers to assist with the 2004 Alexandria Festival of the Arts. Prospective volunteers will be assigned to help control vehicular and pedestrian traffic, welcome and assist festival goers and to carry out several other logistical tasks.

This two-day festival, scheduled for Sept. 11 and 12, will feature more than 200 artists from around the country and the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. The artists will display and sell a variety of fine art ranging from paintings, sculpture, prints, photography, pottery, glass, jewelry and ceramics.
