Alexandria Police Seek Two Suspects in Armed Car Robbery

The Alexandria Police Department is currently looking for two suspects wanted in the armed-car robbery of a gold Buick at 10:15 am this morning. Police responded to Edison and Dale Streets around 10:15 am where two black males had seized a Buick from a man and shot him in the leg. The suspects fled the scene and the police saw them driving the Buick south on Patrick St. A short time later, the suspects struck several cars on Wythe and Henry Streets. The suspects continued traveling to Pendleton and Patrick Streets where they began driving in the wrong direction and struck two parked cars on N. Patrick St. The two suspects then fled the scene. The wounded driver of the Buick was taken to the hospital by the Arlington County Fire Department.

Alexandria Police have been searching for the suspects, who are believed to be traveling by foot. Fairfax County provided the use of a bloodhound and a Park Police helicopter also assisted in the search.
