Enjoy Some Ice Cream, Help a Good Cause

The public is invited to attend “Kones 4 Kids,” a benefit for children in foster care and those at risk of abuse or neglect. During “Kones 4 Kids,” Sunday, Aug. 1 from 1 to 5 pm at the Del Ray Dreamery, 2310 Mt. Vernon Ave., the public can purchase ice cream at the Del Ray Dreamery, with a portion of sales going to the Fund for Alexandria’s Child.
“Kones 4 Kids” will feature free balloons, face painting, door prizes and fun for kids of all ages.
The Fund for Alexandria’s Child is part of the Alexandria Department of Human Services. The Fund helps kids in foster care and those at risk of abuse or neglect participate in scouting, class field trips, music or art lessons, summer camp and more.
