Mayor’s Cup Regatta to be Held on the Potomac

The Alexandria Mayor’s Cup Regatta will be held at the Potomac River on Saturday, June 12. Mayor William Euille, will be on hand to present awards at the end of the race. The race begins at 11 am by the Alexandria Marina (intersection of King and Union Streets) and extends to just before the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.

The Mayor will present awards at 4 pm at the City’s gazebo, behind the Torpedo Factory on 105 N. Union St.

The Potomac Yacht Racing Club and the City of Alexandria co-sponsor the Mayor’s Cup Regatta. Between 40-50 sail boats are expected to participate. For additional information or to participate, contact Kevin Keefe at the Yacht Racing Club, 202.285.4510.
