Alexandria Police Search for Escaped Prisoner;
Robbery Suspect Fled from Police Custody

Today, at 2:40 p.m., a man suspected in a series of robberies escaped from the Alexandria police facility at 2034 Eisenhower Avenue. Rajee L. Wyatt, 27,was at the police facility in connection with a series of commercial robberies that occurred last fall. He was left unattended for a moment and escaped from the office.

Wyatt was not armed, but may be dangerous. He is described as a light-skinned black male, 5'7", and 165 pounds. He has a goatee and wears his hair in braids. He has distinct tattoos of a tear drop near his right eye and another by his left eye that spells “Rajee.” He has additional tattoos on his neck, right forearm and stomach. Wyatt was last seen wearing blue jeans and a long, black t-shirt.

Police searched the surrounding area and outgoing Metro trains for the suspect but have not located him.

Alexandria police have obtained an arrest warrant for Escape. Anyone knowing his location is asked to call Alexandria police at 703.838.4444 or local 911.
