City of Alexandria and Comcast Sponsor
City’s First Outdoor Film Festival


The City of Alexandria and Comcast will hold the city’s first free Outdoor Film Festival for families on Friday, July 30; Saturday, July 31; and Sunday, Aug. 1. The event will take place at Ben Brenman Park, 5000 Duke St.

Films that will be shown are “Grease” on Friday, “Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets” on Saturday, and “Shrek” on Sunday.

Vendors and area restaurants will sell popcorn, homemade lemonade, and food beginning at 7 pm with a portion of the proceeds earned benefiting The Campagna Center. All movies begin at approximately 8 pm (when dark).

Families are invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.

Admission is free.


In the event of rain, the event will be cancelled.
