Alexandria Holds Annual Excellence in Aging Awards The annual Excellence in Aging Awards will be given out at the “Aging is a Family Affair” event sponsored by the Alexandria Commission on Aging, the Senior Expo Committee and the Adult Day Services Center on May 19 from 4 to 6 pm in the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St. Joan Richardson, president of Advanced Care Management will give a presentation and moderate a panel discussion featuring three care givers. A musical presentation is also scheduled in the Adult Day Services Center. Mayor Bill Euille and City Manager Phil Sunderland are expected to attend. Refreshments will be served.
