HARLEM AMBASSADORS TO PLAY IN ALEXANDRIA
Exciting Game Full of Family Fun to Benefit Police Athletic League

Alexandria, Va. – The internationally-acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors 2003-2004 “Around the World” Tour, covering Europe, Asia, and North America, will include a stop in Alexandria for a game at T.C. Williams High School on Saturday, March 13, at 5 p.m.

The game at T.C. Williams (3330 King St.) will benefit the Alexandria Police Athletic League (APAL), an outreach program which provides hundreds of young people in Alexandria with positive activities, including sports and art. The Ambassadors are scheduled to play the Alexandria PAL All-Stars whose team features Alexandria police officers, sheriff deputies, fire fighters and military members. Tickets range in prices from $5 to $8 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

It's Not Your Grandfather's Basketball Show is the slogan for the Ambassadors. "It means we offer a younger, fresher, livelier basketball show," explained President Dale Moss. The Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show features high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling, and comedy routines led by LadP Majic, Queen of Show Basketball. The only woman coach/player of an all men's professional team, LadP Majic has played more show basketball games than any woman in history. She competes against opposing men players on a nightly basis and represents a great positive role model for young girls.

Says Officer Belinda Callahan, APAL co-ordinator, “This is going to be a great night of family fun. The Ambassadors really know how to put on a show.”

For tickets or more information, please contact Officer Callahan at 703.998.2597.
