Alexandria Announces Charles Houston Open House An open house has been scheduled for Jan. 31 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 905 Wythe St. Proposed ideas from the community on the expansion of the center will be available and visitors can discuss the possibilities, as well as any new ideas, with recreation center staff. The open house will feature free events and programs suitable for all ages. The open house will include activities such as guessing games with prizes, basketball, arts and crafts, face painting, and computer use instruction. All of the programs offered during the open house will be offered and expanded in the renovated recreation center. A winter barbecue is also scheduled, weather permitting. The Office on Housing has also scheduled a Home-Ownership Training program from 9 am to 4 pm. For more information, call 703.838.4343. # # # |
