Alexandria Offers Temporary Reserved Parking The City of Alexandria offers temporary reserved parking if applied for three business days prior to when the spaces are needed. The City offers reserved spaces for weddings, wedding receptions, funerals, wakes, parades, moving, loading and unloading, construction equipment, repairs and maintenance, City permitted events, snow removal, and others as deemed necessary to effectively operate the City, including emergency security measures. To obtain permits for temporary reserved parking, you need to know how many spaces will be needed. A maximum of five may be reserved for weddings, funerals and moving. For all other activities, the number of spaces reserved will be as needed. You need to know the address and which side of the street where you want the spaces reserved.
