City of Alexandria Announces Holiday Schedule
For December 25, 26 and January 1

Alexandria City government offices will be closed for the holidays on Thursday, Dec. 25, Friday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan.1.
City schools will be closed beginning on Dec. 22. Students will return to school on Monday, Jan. 5.
There will be no trash and recycling collection services on Dec. 25.
City libraries will be closed at 5 pm on Dec. 24 and all day on Dec. 25 and 26. Libraries will close at 5 pm on Dec. 31 and remain closed on Jan. 1.
All recreation centers will be closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1. On Dec. 31, all full time recreation centers will close at 6 pm.
The Treasury and Revenue Divisions of the Finance Department, which are regularly open on Saturday mornings for payment of property taxes and parking tickets, will be closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, Dec. 27, and Jan.1.
DASH bus service will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Dec. 24, with service ending at 7:30 pm that day. There will be no service on Dec. 25. On Friday, Dec. 26, buses will operate on a Saturday schedule. DASH will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Dec. 31 and there will be no service on Jan.1. Additionally, HOV restrictions on Washington Street and Route 1 will be lifted on Dec. 25, Dec.26, Dec.31, and Jan.1.
State Offices in Alexandria, including the Circuit, General District, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District courts, the Clerk of Court Office and the Alexandria Health Department, will be closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26, and Jan. 1.
