Mayor Euille Honored by Washington Council on Agencies

Alexandria Mayor William D. Euille was honored by the Washington Council of Agencies with a Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award at the organization’s Dec. 3 annual meeting in the District of Columbia. Recognized for his commitment to the nonprofit community, Euille was applauded for his time, energy, and support to ensure that services of many nonprofit organizations continue throughout the local area. He was one of five honorees from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

The award is named after WCA’s former public policy director Phyllis Campbell. Annually, honorees are selected based on the dedication and investment they provide to nurture and enhance nonprofit organizations. WCA was established in 1979. It provides organizations with professional development, networking, advocacy, and management skills as a way of strengthening the community and serving as a model of excellent organizational systems.
