ALEXANDRIA PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
SCHEDULES PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission will hold a series of public hearings to obtain citizen input regarding: the FY 2004 - 2005 budget for the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities; a proposed multi-generational center at Chinquapin Recreation Center, and issues pertinent to their neighborhood. Residents who are unable to attend may send written comments to the Park and Recreation Commission at the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, 1108 Jefferson St, Alexandria, VA, 22314. The public meetings are:

Nov. 20, 7 pm, Planning District II, Mt. Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Ave.
Jan. 15, 7 pm, Planning District III, William Ramsay Center, 5650 Sanger Ave.

Public hearings are also scheduled to begin the planning for renovations to two recreation centers:

Oct. 29, 7 pm, Charles Houston Center, 905 Wythe St.

Nov. 6, 7 pm, Patrick Henry Center, 4643 Taney Ave.
