The City of Alexandria is beginning to update the Environmental Management Zoning Ordinance, which includes the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Regulations. City staff will give a presentation at the Environmental Policy Commission meeting on Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall, 300 King St., Room 2000.

Topics presented by the City staff will include Alexandria’s existing Environmental Management Ordinance, CBLAD mandated ordinance revisions, stream classification project, and the projected schedule of events for the ordinance update.

Alexandrians are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and provide comments, concerns and suggestions on ordinance revisions that will improve water quality in the City and the Bay.
