Citizen Input Sought at Community Meetings on Transportation Needs

The City’s Transportation & Environmental Services Department (TES) has scheduled two community meetings to obtain input about the City’s Comprehensive Transportation Policy. Residents may share views on how to improve and enhance traffic within the City.

The meetings are designed to brainstorm on ways the City can improve traffic flow and safety, classify roadways, and identifying high congestion locations and potential solutions for improvements.

Two community meetings are scheduled:

Sept. 16 Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School, 435 Ferdinand Day Drive
Sept. 17 Minnie Howard Ninth Grade School, 3801 West Braddock Road

Each meeting is scheduled from 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. An overview of project presentations will begin at 7:45 p.m.

Comments may be sent to Tom Culpepper, Project Engineer and Deputy Director of TES, via e-mail at tom.culpepper@ci.alexandria.va.us or by mail at 301 King Street #4100, Alexandria, Va. 22314. Contact 703.838.4966 ext. 236 for additional details.
