Free Fans for Alexandria Senior Citizens

Electric fans are available free to eligible Alexandria senior citizens through the Fan Care program offered by Alexandria Aging and Adult Services and sponsored jointly by Dominion Virginia Power and the Virginia Department of the Aging. Eligible residents are age 60 or older whose health and well-being may be improved with the use of a fan. Fans become property of the recipient and can be delivered to homebound persons if necessary.

To qualify for the program, participants must have monthly income below $1,123 for individuals, $1,515 for two persons, and $1,908 for three-person households.
