Rabies Vaccination Clinics Offered in Alexandria

Rabies Vaccination Clinics have been scheduled by the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria at the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, 4101 Eisenhower Ave. on Aug. 3, 2-4 pm and Aug. 6, 5:30-7 pm.

Vaccinations cost $10 per animal and are available for dogs, cats and ferrets. Dogs must be leashed and cats and ferrets must be in carriers. A 1-year vaccine will be given. A 3-year vaccine is available if owner brings proof of a still-valid previous vaccination.

A rabies vaccination is required by law for animals over four months. Vaccinating pets will help protect them from possible rabies exposure.

For more information, call the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria at 703.838.4774.
