KONES 4 KIDS

The Advisory Council for The Fund for Alexandria’s Child invites the public to attend KONES 4 KIDS, a fund raiser for foster care children. The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 20, from 1 - 5 pm, at the Del Ray Dreamery, 2310 Mount Vernon Ave. The afternoon features family fun for kids of all ages, including free balloons, door prizes, face painting, and washable tattoos. The Dreamery will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to The Fund. COMCAST Communications is the major sponsor.
The Fund for Alexandria’s Child helps youngsters in foster care, or who are at risk of being placed in foster care due to abuse or neglect, to experience some of the activities that other children can take for granted. The Fund allows the youth to have meaningful and rewarding experiences such as school field trips, scouting, music or art lessons, summer camp, and the purchase of a cap and gown for graduation, for example, which are not covered by any other funding source.
