Alexandria Seeks Citizen Input on Transit Needs

The City of Alexandria will hold two identical public meetings to help plan for Alexandria’s transportation needs and improving and enhancing transit use. The meetings will be held on July 9 at Samuel Tucker Elementary School, 435 Ferdinand Day Dr., and July 10 at Minnie Howard Ninth Grade Center, 3801 W. Braddock Rd. Both meetings will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. An informal presentation will be held at 7:45 pm.
The July meetings are round three of a series of community meetings about Alexandria’s transportation needs. The public is invited to come hear presentations, ask questions, view displays and participate in brainstorming workshops. The fourth round of meetings will be held in September and will focus on arterials.
The City of Alexandria encourages citizens to participate in the planning process by voicing their concerns and contributing suggestions to the Project Team. In addition to providing input in person at one of the community meetings, citizens may address comments to: Tom Culpepper, Deputy Director of Transportation and Environmental Services, 301 King St., Room 4100, City Hall, Alexandria, VA 22314 or call 703.838.4966.
