Alexandria Seeks Volunteers for Arts Committees

Are you interested in the arts? Alexandria residents are invited to volunteer for one of the Alexandria Commission for the Arts’ committees or resource panels.

The mission of the Alexandria Commission for the Arts is to lead and advocate for cultural development within the City and surrounding region. The Commission fulfills this mission by collaborating with the local community on arts initiatives, marketing the City’s arts events and arts organizations, building arts and education partnerships in the community. The Commission also administers an annual grants program and publishes a quarterly newsletter.

The Alexandria Commission for the Arts has committees for art education, grants, public art, marketing, business and the arts. The Commission has resource panels on dance, music, literature, visual arts and theatre.
